What is a visor?

A visor is a brim and a headband with no crown. It shades the eyes while leaving the top of the head open, which is the entire point: on a golf course, a tennis court, or a long run, a closed cap traps heat that a visor lets out.

Who wears one

  • Golfers — the standard course hat in warm weather.
  • Tennis and pickleball players — shade without heat retention.
  • Runners — ventilates on long summer distances.
  • Anyone with long hair — a ponytail passes through without a cap opening.
  • Beach and poolside — shade that will not overheat.

Band, brim, and closure

The sweatband is the part that matters. A cotton band absorbs, a performance band wicks and dries between sessions, which is what you want if the visor is worn several times a week.

  • Cotton twill or performance poly — poly wicks and dries faster.
  • Terry or moisture-wicking sweatband. — undefined
  • Adjustable velcro or buckle back. — undefined
  • 2.5in to 3.5in brim — pre-curved.
  • Embroidered brim or band — the two available placements.

Care and teams

Hand wash and air dry. Performance bands can be rinsed after each session and dry in under an hour. Visors are a common church golf tournament and sports ministry order and can be run in quantity. 10% of every purchase is donated to a Christian ministry, mission, charity or non-profit. You are helping the Kingdom of Heaven with every purchase.

Visor questions, answered

Visor or cap for golf?

A visor in heat, since it does not trap warmth on top of the head. A cap if you need scalp coverage from the sun.

Does a visor protect from sunburn?

It shades the face and eyes only. The top of the head is exposed, so sunscreen or a cap is better for a full day outdoors.

Are visors adjustable?

Yes. Velcro or buckle closure at the back, fitting most adults.

Cotton or performance fabric?

Cotton for casual wear. Performance polyester if it will be worn several times a week and needs to dry between sessions.

Can it be worn with a ponytail?

That is one of the main reasons people choose one. The open crown lets hair through without a cap opening.

Can our church order visors for a golf tournament?

Yes. This is the most common bulk order in the category. Send the design, count, and your date.
