What is a cross hoodie?

The short answer

The cross is the one Christian symbol that needs no language, and a hoodie gives it more room than any other garment. A large cross across the back reads from across a parking lot, and a small chest cross reads to the one person standing in front of you. Love & Love YAH designs each one in-house, makes it to order, and donates 10% of every purchase to a Christian ministry, mission, charity or non-profit.

Placement on a hoodie

A hoodie offers three surfaces a tee does not: a full unbroken back, a hood, and a sleeve. Where the cross goes changes the garment more than which cross it is.

  • Left chest — small, the most understated placement.
  • Full back print — the largest scale available, up to 14 inches.
  • Sleeve print — running down the forearm.
  • Hood print — across the back of the hood itself.
  • Pullover only for large backs — a zip splits the chest panel.

Fabric, fit, and care

XS to 3XL in a unisex cut, in 8.5oz midweight fleece, 9.5oz cotton-rich brushed back, or 12oz heavyweight, in pullover and full-zip. Wash inside out in cold water, tumble low or hang dry, no bleach and no fabric softener on fleece. 10% of every purchase is donated to a Christian ministry, mission, charity or non-profit. Cross hoodie questions, answered

Pullover or zip for a cross design?

Pullover for anything across the chest, since a zip splits the panel down the middle. Zip hoodies carry chest crosses on one side and back prints well.

What is the difference between a Latin and a Celtic cross?

A Latin cross is the plain upright form. A Celtic cross adds a ring joining the arms, drawn from early Irish and Scottish stone crosses.

How large can a back print be?

Up to about 14 inches wide across the shoulders, which is the largest print area on any garment here.

Does fleece affect how the cross prints?

Yes. Fleece has a nap, so fine hairline crosses are thickened and printed a step larger than on a tee.

What sizes and weights do you carry?

XS to 3XL in three weights, from 8.5oz midweight fleece to 12oz heavyweight, in pullover and full-zip.

How do I wash it?

Inside out, cold, tumble low or hang dry. No bleach, no fabric softener on fleece, no direct iron on the print.
